The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets are both within reach of the AFC Wild Card spots at 5-5 heading in to this weekend’s divisional showdown. The question now is, which of these teams even wants it? The Bills and Jets have combined for 5 straight losses including a couple of games they were expected to win, and remain one game back of the Cincinnati Bengals for the final Wild Card position. Ironically, the Bengals have also lost consecutive games, which makes it a good thing that at least one of these teams have to come out of Sunday with a sports betting win.

The Jets have been one of the most consistently inconsistent NFL team’s this season, alternating streaks of consecutive wins, three straight losses, three straight wins, and now consecutive losses to arrive at 5-5. While the offense has underachieved under the leadership of quarterback Mark Sanchez, the defense hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations in allowing a game-winning fourth-quarter drive against the Denver Broncos. For as bad as New York’s struggles have been, it has been worse for the Bills, who have lost a string of three straight that began with a 27-11 home loss to the Jets in their first game of the month. Consecutive blowout losses at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins hasn’t inspired much confidence in the pay head spread, which is why New York should be able to bounce back and get it done.
