2011-2012 NFL Season Week 12 Preview

Drew breesThe online betting experts are starting to see the NFL playoff picture a little clearer now as the NFL teams all have six games left to go in the season. The Thanksgiving Day games all yielded some exciting action, but none of the results were unexpected. The Packers are still undefeated, the Ravens keep on rolling over good teams and Ndamukong Suh keeps fighting the system. The games that are left for this weekend are an interesting bunch and many of them could have playoff implications. With teams like the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants holding on to slim playoff hopes, these weekend games take on a new level of importance.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 27, 2011

Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams (-3)

The Cardinals and the Rams are both having tough seasons, but the Cardinals are showing glimmers of hope at various points in the season. The Kevin Kolb experiment could be called a complete failure if it weren't for the fact that the Arizona offensive line is so horrible. The Rams have put a lot of faith in second-year quarterback Sam Bradford and he has not delivered. It is unlikely that Bradford will be able to deliver in this game either.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets (-9)

Both of these teams are playing some awful football lately, but the Jets have the far superior defense. The Buffalo defense will probably make Mark Sanchez look like Joe Namath by the time this game is over.

Pick: New York Jets

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals (-7 1/2)

There are a lot of people that are starting to believe that this Cincinnati team is for real. Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton is showing the poise of a five-year veteran and this Bengals' defense is nothing to sneeze at either. The Browns are still developing and can use this game as part of the learning process.

Pick: Cincinnati Bengals

Houston Texans (-4 1/2) @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Any quarterback that is able to give the ball to running backs Arian Foster and Ben Tate would probably win this game. Throw in the dominating Houston defense, and you have a winning combination for the Texans even without Matt Schaub.

Pick: Houston Texans

Carolina Panthers (-3) @ Indianapolis Colts

The Colts will not go 0-16 this season, and this should be the game that prevents a winless year.

Pick: Indianapolis Colts

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Tennessee Titans (-3 1/2)

It looks like Tennessee quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will play in this game. This should be the game that running back Chris Johnson finally starts to earn his keep.

Pick: Tennessee Titans

Minnesota Vikings @ Atlanta Falcons (-9 1/2)

Even with the horrible season he is having, Christian Ponder is still the best quarterback on the Vikings' roster.

Pick: Atlanta Falcons

Chicago Bears @ Oakland Raiders (-4)

Caleb Hanie may be a capable back-up, but Carson Palmer looks unstoppable as the Oakland quarterback. The Bears can try to rely on its running game to win this contest, but the Oakland defense will not allow that to happen.

Pick: Oakland Raiders

Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks (-3 1/2)

The Redskins actually looked pretty good in its week 11 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The Seahawks are way too one-dimensional to sustain its current winning ways.

Pick: Washington Redskins

New England Patriots (-3 1/2) @ Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia back-up quarterback Vince Young will keep the Eagles in this game, but the beat up Philadelphia secondary won't be able to stop New England's offense.

Pick: New England Patriots

Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers (-6)

It isn't Tebow magic that will help the Broncos win over the Chargers, it is the God-awful way that the San Diego Chargers play football that will do it.

Pick: Denver Broncos

Pittsburgh Steelers (-10 1/2) @ Kansas City Chiefs

Regardless of who plays quarterback for the Chiefs, this one probably won't even be close.

Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers

MONDAY NOVEMBER 28, 2011

New York Giants @ New Orleans Saints (-7)

The Giants have a good pass rush, but Saints' quarterback Drew Brees is going to pick the New York secondary apart. Giants' quarterback Eli Manning has held strong all season, but he is starting to make those little mistakes that he is known for in the second half of every season.
