Vincent Jackson to Washington?

Vincent JacksonDonovan McNabb and Mike Shanahan are trying to tip the betting odds in the favor of their new team, the Washington Redskins, as much as possible. Rumors are floating around that the disgruntled San Diego Charger wide receiver has been working out with McNabb, and McNabb been talking to Shanahan and Redskins owner Daniel Snyder about putting up the tremendous price it would take to get Jackson to the Redskins.

Jackson did not sign his tender offer on July 15, and now the Chargers have resigned themselves to going on without him. The Chargers still own the rights to Jackson, and getting Jackson will cost any team a huge price. Jackson is an unrestricted free agent and a deal for him could involve high draft picks, veteran players or a combination of the two.

Other teams that have expressed an interest in Jackson include the Buffalo Bills, the Seattle Seahawks and the Miami Dolphins. But Jackson has been seen recently working out in Phoenix, Arizona with Donovan McNabb. Jackson would be joining a Washington Redskin team that already has veteran wide receivers Joey Galloway, Bobby Wade and Santana Moss.
