Dez Bryant to Miss Rest of Preseason

Dez BryantDallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant was injured with a high ankle sprain in the first week of Cowboys training camp. Bryant initially promised he would play, at some point, in some of the Cowboys preseason games. Now comes speculation from observers at Cowboys camp that the betting is off on Bryant's ankle and he will miss the rest of the preseason.

Bryant had originally boasted that he would play the last two preseason games on the Cowboys schedule, but NFL Las Vegas picks experts did not expect Bryant to be able to come through on that promise. The rookie receiver has been hobbled at practice still, and it looks like he will miss the rest of the preseason.

The question for the Cowboys is whether or not Bryant will be able to start the regular season. Confidence remains high that Bryant will be able to take the field on opening day, but Bryant is still not medically cleared for practice and the regular season starts in only three weeks. Traditionally, a high ankle sprain can take up to eight weeks to heal and, even then, it can hamper a player all season long.
